After obtaining his Masters of Accounting from the University of Waterloo in 1997, Vinay earned his CA designation in 1999, and completed the CICA In-depth tax course in 2002. An ardent presenter, he has spoken on an array of tax topics before law firms, financial institutions and various other professional associations. Vinay’s professional affiliations include the Estate Planning Council of Halton, Canadian Tax Foundation, Halton-Peel District CA Association, Canada Revenue Agency Hamilton Steering Committee, CEO Global Network and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.

He volunteers his time to several charitable organizations having held a number of positions including Director with the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce SME Committee, and Director for a non-profit organization devoted to South Asian dance and theatre.
